In order to make PoL carbon neutral, Techtec has decided to donate a portion of its business revenue to organizations and individuals that are committed to carbon offsetting. At the same time, we will further focus on "Techtec Social Action (TSA)", which we have defined as part of our CSR.

Techtec Co., Ltd., the operator of PoL, an online blockchain learning service and blockchain for education, has redefined corporate policy to promote initiatives to solve social challenges. In line with this, we started “Techtec Social Action (TSA)” as part of our CSR efforts.
From now on, when we enter into partnerships with companies and projects, and when we raise funds, we will consider whether or not they are addressing social challenges as an important selection criterion.

PoL to be carbon neutral
In line with TSA's philosophy, we aim to make Techtec's online learning service, PoL, carbon neutral. We envision the following specific initiatives to make the PoL carbon neutral:

Normally, to measure greenhouse gas emissions, the following formula is used:
Greenhouse gas emissions = Amount of activity × Emission factorFor example, to calculate greenhouse gas emissions from electricity consumption, we use the amount of activity (electricity consumption, kWh) and the emission factor for electricity (t-CO2/kWh).
In PoL, since all direct activities are basically completed online, we measure the greenhouse gas emissions based on the electricity consumed in the activities to use PoL (development by the operating company and learning by the users).
In addition, we will continue to measure the power required to run the servers and databases used and the greenhouse gases emitted from them. At the same time, by expanding the scope of measurement, we will do our utmost to achieve carbon neutrality for blockchain mining and other activities that we are not directly involved in.

Although tentative, we have calculated the following donation amounts based on our current measurements.
1% of the course fee
1% of the total amount of PoL tokens issued
1 dollar per Techtec Corporation stakeholder (shareholder, employee, contractor, etc.)
By calculating the donation amount based on the total amount of PoL tokens issued in addition to the donation amount based on the course fee, we believe that we can realize the world view of "the more you learn, the more carbon neutral you are". PoL tokens will be managed by the blockchain and will be distributed independently of Techtec, the PoL operator.
Thus, the more users learn with PoL, the more they can contribute to environmental protection, in a neutral and transparent way, without any third party control. (Learning at PoL is free of charge.)
In addition to the carbon offsetting efforts necessary to make PoL carbon neutral, the above donation amount includes money that is intended to be used to solve various social issues.
Selection of donation recipients
We are currently in the process of selecting our donation recipients. We are already working with a number of organizations and individuals, and will be able to make actual donations within a few months.
We will continue to search for more organizations to donate to. We would like to support the activities of many organizations and individuals, regardless of size, depending on the content of their efforts.
